Because corporations are unaccountable entities that can get away with literal murder. The very idea of a corporation is as anti-american, anti-capitalist, anti-justice, and anti-freedom as it gets.
By granting them all the 'rights' of a person, while removing all the accountability of their owners, but not being able to even enforce the law correctly (because they aren't people and can't actually be tried or sent to jail) we created the monster that will destroy our society.
When corperations were created, our government(s) actually granted them the power of kings and set them above common citizens.
