I've been attempting to gauge the growth by instead comparing the number of new posts created on /v/the_donald and thedonald.win within the window of a few hours.
Most of the time thedonald.win has significantly more posts.
It's impossible to tell without real statistics.
This post asked user to upvote it and it has almost 16,000 votes...
