You take away the downvote, you take away their power. Don't upvote something you don't like is changing the weight of the postings but keeps the integrity of the voting system.
Best thing to have happened. If you want something seen, vote for it. If not, leave it be. If your opinion is divergent from the post, say it. If it goes against the rules, deport it. Easy as that.

Plus I love the HUGE upvote button that builds a wall as it votes. Very nice.
It makes the shills have to post something to get their point across, and by that they expose themselves. Brilliant move, mods.
It also makes it easier on my phone because the up-vote button is larger. It was tiresome always having to enlarge the screen to up-vote every post.

I understand why we can't have nice things. I've accepted it and giggle to myself every time I imagine the frustration to some visitors.
