They lack a basic understanding of economics. You can't just keep hiking taxes up higher and higher, the market won't bear it. This is why their promises of more and more 'free stuff' is nothing but fantasy.

Colorado did the same thing. State and local taxes made it so expensive that dealers are cheaper. Only people going to pot shops are tourists. Locals all get free weed from friends that grow.
