Well, it was a nice clean start, but it seems like they have finally arrived, not able to help themselves. Pretty sure the rest of you have seen the posts, obsessed posters hyperfocused on race, and those who observe the jewish religion.
Personally, I don't care about any of the religions, I have had churches stab me in the back and lie to my face, the content of their books aside, so I don't have any respect for the Abrahamic line of religions especially.
Like most normal Americans, as long as you don't hurt anyone, and its between consenting adults, you do you. I just want to leave America a better place than it was when I was born here.
These people who are beginning to make very racist and religiously targeted posts are disappointing. Before they get deported, does anyone think there is merit in trying to reason with them?
A solid argument and clear discourse can at least plant the seeds of reason, even if we never witness them grow, we can at least do our part to put in the effort from our side.
I don't know, honestly I just want this country to shake off the mind-forged manacles that are encroaching on her limbs, and stand proud and tall free of Communism and authoritarianism. Liberty, and freedom for all.
They were here on Day 2 after this place was opened to everyone. They hit one of my submissions right away.
There's some more insidious ones as well, walking right up to the edge of deportation. Some of these people seem to genuinely believe their ridiculous bullshit.
I love talking, but they seem to want to stop talking and disrupt open and honest dialogue. Like you said, many seem to get high on their own supply, if you know what I mean, and are deathly allergic to cross pollination. Metaphor aside, I will do my part as I can, though I still hope to coaxe some onto the bright side of reason. Sunlight IS a damn good disinfectant.
Engaging the fanatic ideologues who are here to drop the "truths" they learned on the interwebs can be an exercise in frustration. They will only respond to your dialogue with silence or anger.
