Of course they won't go through with it. Senate will call witnesses that they do NOT want testifying. They will not only expose this sham for what it is but also discover things certain powerful people are hiding.

This whole thing's purpose is theatre and to get sound bytes for the media to run with. They will cite some bullshit reason like "we don't want to divide the country" and abandon the impeachmemt scheme.
