I've been pretty appalled that some of the MSM are telling people to fight with their families on Thanksgiving. If my family isn't going to treat me well over my thoroughly considered opinions, I'm going to have to stop going out there to see them. I'm not telling people to fight but that there are ways to deal with these things other than folding and I think that these may sometimes be sacrifices that are worth making.

So, to whoever reads this, have a blessed holiday season :)

The idea of not talking politics with family is not new. Elevating that idea to the level of breaking families apart is civil war behavior--as in, the media is trying to start a war. Whatever happens when you get together with family (and I hope they are loving and understanding people) don't let msm break apart your family connections that easily. Best of luck to you and yours.

What I fail to comprehend is why people today apparently believe that their opinion matters to others and must be revered. My family had animated discussions around the dinner table, sometimes presenting facts but mostly expressing opinions, and the farthest it ever went was "I don't share that opinion, and please pass the potatoes".

I’m hoping we can get back to that place. Why? Our ideas are better, but the Left is dug in irrationally, further fortified by the media. If the Left would just be a little more open minded- it would be easier to KAG
