Dude, there’s another perfectly rational explanation. Oftentimes life pulls us away from folks we have loved. There are plenty of people I’ve had in my life with whom I haven’t spoken to in a while. People I genuinely cherish and love. I found this post to be heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
Don’t be so quick to criticize and pass judgement on this person’s post without knowing the whole story. It makes you sound like a sanctimonious jerk. If I were a betting man, my wager would be that you are still young. Life is complicated and things don’t always shake out the way we think they should. When you are much older and have lived a perfect life with no mistakes and no regrets,, then you will be qualified to render a judgement on this person.
This sounded beautiful. Do you know this woman personally? Not trying to play devils advocate but sometimes even the closest of friends lose touch for a few months for some reason or another. She wrote some incredibly nice things about this guy.
I had a close friend that wasn’t part of my normal friend circle. We just hung out with 2 different circles. She lived in another state and we would try to see each other weekly for coffee to catch up. One day she stopped answering my calls and texts. I don’t have social media so I had no other way of contacting her. No answer at her place when I went either. I found out a couple of months later that she had taken her own life.
Your anger and your harsh take on this woman have nothing to do with her post. You are spinning up a fantasy based on something else, in combination with the post. She found out months after he died because they did not have mutual friends who thought to tell her.
I am sorry for your loss, and I hope you will take a little time to figure out what happened that brought about this story, for you. Your current reaction is not one that will help make you happier in the near future.
I don't get it
