Red flag laws are dangerous to our democracy. They are not much different than asset forfeiture, and look how that has been abused. (“If we suspect anything, we will take your guns until you prove you are innocent.”) it violates everything our justice system should stand for. Vote out anyone who supports them.
Every proposed gun law should have to go through SCOTUS before implementation, and there should be a big sign on the front door that says “ALL GUN LAWS ARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL”
As citizens, we could put an end to these confiscations by putting more focus on the first part of the second amendment. If every unconstitutional confiscation attempt was met by a defensive line of armed patriots, standing up for our collective rights as Americans, the confiscators would be forced to think long and hard about what they are willing to do to enforce an unjust law.
