I had a friend come out as gay to me. He assumed it was going to be a big deal at the time because his family didn't take it well afaik, but I already knew that he was deep down, and it made no difference to me. Why would I care? I wasn't talking to him because I thought he was straight, I was talking to him because we shared certain interests like gaming, computers, programming, etc.
At the time I didn't know enough about it to realize what it was, but I never cared about the sex life of other guys, so it was just some fact to me, like being born in Germany or something like that. And since he never talked about that side of his life to me, I mean other than revealing it, I had no issue with him.
