She can self-fund a campaign in 2020 and again in 2022. That is probably a large part of the reason Kemp is headed this way.

The reason Kemp is headed this way is because all the squishy suburban housewives in north Atlanta fucking hate Trump and will not vote for him or anyone he supports because they are fucking retarded, despite the fact that they agree with his policies.

Loeffler is a way for Kemp to actually keep that seat Red. You guys don't really understand Georgia. It's two states. There's Atlanta and everybody else, and the divide is deep. The number of Karens in Cobb, North Fulton, and Gwinnett that absolutely refuse to vote for Trump or anyone he picks is frightening. If he nominates someone who looks and sounds like them, Kemp manages to get these cunts to vote red.

Despite what you might have heard, Loeffler is not the devil incarnate. She's just your average Southern businesswoman. She's actually very much like Trump in 2016 in that she doesn't have any strongly held ideologies. She's a pragmatist.

Most importantly, she will caucus with the Republicans. She's not some Democrat hiding behind a mask, she's just not 100% Trump. Kemp is trying to lock down the seat for the next 8 years instead of putting a firebrand in there like Collins who will likely lose the seat if it's given to him.

Georgia in 2019 is not Georgia in 1999. We are closer to going blue than any other southern state due to Deal and his cronies sucking Hollywood's dick for 10 years. Atlanta is 70% of the states population and it's going hard to the left in the last decade. Isakson won on name recognition. Perdue didn't win by much and it was because he was a businessman, not a politician.

A hardline Conservative is not going to win the suburbs in Atlanta. A pragmatic conservative might, and a pragmatic conservative woman has a better shot than anyone. But Doug Collins? I love the guy, but he can't win a statewide election.

For God's sake, people, Stacey fucking Abrams got within 50,000 votes of the governor's chair and you think putting a hardline conservative from the mountains on the ballot is a winning strategy?

Accept that Kemp is not retarded and knows our state better than the people stuck in DC. He's an extraordinarily popular Governor doing a lot of great things. The person he backs is an absolute lock for re-election unless that person comes with baggage the fucking housewives don't like.

You can get a guaranteed seat that votes how you want 70% of the time and 100% of the time when it's really important, or you can get a Democrat who votes against literally everything you want. Take the soft win.

The last election cycle truly has me questioning the wisdom of giving women the vote...and I'm a woman.

Women have the mothering instinct, decades of data shows they vote substantially more lib than men. Every since women got the right to vote, this country has gone so far left.

Same here. Women voters are ruining the country. Single women voters are doing the most damage due to their financial insecurity.

Important point of view. You should make this it's own post for more visibility

> Accept that Kemp is not retarded and knows our state better than the people stuck in DC.

This sentence sealed your argument.

Fuck anybody from DC. Fuck everybody from DC.

Trump has had absolute SHIT advice from the DC assholes that have advised him. That doesn't stop in DC.

Let locals who know their areas run their own shit.

Thank you, pede, for this explanation.

I've lived in Columbus, Augusta, and Savannah and I love Georgia but Atlanta is terrible and just what you say. You cant go anywhere in downtown Atlanta without hundreds of homeless people. It's the worst part of the state and even anti-gun CNN has a dozen armed police at their HQ. Its a democrat stronghold in the same measure of Baltimore, Broward, or Detroit. One thing we've gotta do is start fighting back in the cities or we will start to loose every state one by one.
