This site is beginning to feel like a honey pot, a wasp catching trap.

That distance over bore is clown world and the can is deplorable. Why even?

Did the dems create this site to get us all ATF'd?

Why isn't the stock linear with the barrel?

“it is legal for Americans to build their own firearms without a license so long as they are not prohibited by law from possessing firearms, the firearms are legal to own, for personal use, and not for sale or transfer to others. Whether the gun parts are printed, created by other ways of manufacturing, or legally purchased from a licensed dealer has no impact on whether it is legal for an American to build a gun for personal use”

-Literally the ATF

But i can't put a silencer on it without a tag, or have the pistol/rifle combo of having a barrel shorter than 16in with a full buttstock.

Even if I make it 100% myself there are still rules I've got to follow.

Where did I say there were no rules?

I was addressing 3d printed guns as a whole, which I assume is what she was spooked about.

What he is saying, is that these are all process crime traps. Only those with the money and legal knowledge can successfully avoid prosecution WHEN the three letter agencies decide you are a person of interest.

It keeps many law abiding, innovative and industrious citizens from even considering taking advantages of the rights they posses when it comes to inventing new firearms or accessories.

The guy in the middle of Kansas with a family and a farm to lose, won't tinker with guns, for fear of ending up in federal prison over a missed tax stamp or filing date.

It is why rich people have lawyers and accountants...to keep D.C. from putting them in the pokey. (prison)

Screw up on your 1040? IRS corrects it and deducts it from your refund.

Screw up with a federal firearm filing? They come to arrest you.

If I cannot walk into Cabellas and buy it, I won't lay a finger on it.

Most of teh R&D process is publicly available if you look around the links people have posted. There are reasons for each of the points that you are raising.

First, no, I'm not trying to stir the pot. If I were trying to stir the pot, I would have linked where to find the files and assembly instructions; instead, that's 100% up to whoever drops by to the thread. This thread was to spread awareness that as of now, gun control is effectively dead. Now, on to other matters:

The stock isn't linear with the barrel because this is a bit of an odd frankensteinian contraption that's half AR, half Glock, and half bear. And probably odds and ends of some other completely novel workarounds. I assume that the developers will address that eventually in future versions should it result in detrimental characteristics.

edit: oh, and if one were to go down this rabbit hole - don't break the fucking law. Barring circumstances like actual civil wars or similar levels of chaos. If you've got the tax stamp for a suppressor, the model installed on the pictured weapon might be a neat way to get into the DIY side of things though. Still, don't be an idiot.
