Nobody is above criticism, you're right. Israel, however, is relentlessly criticized non-stop. When last did western media have anything good (or even remotely impartial) to say about Israel? A thousand Palestinian rockets are fired into Israel and the media says nothing, but let Israel fire even one in self defense or retaliation...
This is going to sound very odd, but you have to look at who is the media. No, im not going to go all "muh jewish conspiracy" mode or imply its all nepotism, but Jews are very big in the media and entertainment industries. Best comparison is like how blacks account for some small % of the national population but represent an overwhelming proportion in professional sports.
The point being is Jews can criticize other Jews (and do quite often), but we are anti-semitic if one of us does.
