My personal belief is that the Democrats are perfectly aware that there is nobody on earth who could beat Trump in 2020, so they are going to throw Biden under the bus specifically so that they can claim he only lost because he was an "old, white male", thereby paving the way for only female/POC candidates in the future.

It's an excuse for losing that ultimately supports their agenda.

Sacrificial lamb.

Deep down, they know DJT is going to win. Joe is too old to ever run again. They don’t want to burn up one of their young “rising stars” and brand them with the Scarlet Letters: “Lost to Tump.”

Hence, Joe gets thrown to the wolves so Booker, Harris, Mayor Pete, etc. can live to fight another day.

Joe will get "diagnosed" with dementia in April and then Hillary will take over.

corn pops with a side of beef.

sounds like a real winner.

reality tho: killery was never supposed to lose and she was meant to be the last president. they already had the Russia narrative and thanks to Hussein ruining our military and hill selling our uranium, we were ready to hit global war, mass death, and the rise of one world government centered in western Europe.

trump winning threw a wrench in those plans, and they had no others. it has been three years of trying to kickstart the failed plan again.

This would be funny, but I think Joe is done, Hill would be WAY to much fun for Trump to smack around in debates...just saying

The irony.

Running a woman solely because her husband was the president is surely demeaning towards women, right?

Surely there are female candidates who can run on their own success without being bolstered by their marriage, right?

Surely the DNC wouldn't take the position that being a wife alone is a woman's only necessary achievement to be qualified for office, right?

And certainly, if all a woman needs to do in order to qualify for the office of President of the United States is marry the right man, then both women and society-at-large still view her husbands as the source of a woman's value, right?

You are making an excellent point.

Unfortunately, a whole lotta republicans in Ariz wanted 'widow's succession' for Cindy McCain. Her appointment became so controversial that they just let her 'pick John's replacement' instead.

Since then, Cindy-baby has gone on to endorse Biden for Prez.

Clown world.

It is a VP play.

I've read that Joe is fulfilling the much needed function of bringing in dollars -- however few -- into DNC coffers. When that stops, they will retire him.

He's the safe establishment bet. The democratic party is not a monolithic thing. I think they are paralyzed and they have no idea how to proceed against GEOTUS.

Biden is a sacrificial lamb. No serious candidate wants to touch this race. They know the odds are strongly against them. Only the publicity seekers and senile wing of the party is running (it's their last chance).

P.S. No excuses. Show up at the polls.

He is the only capitalist candidate they really have. Everyone else is socialist/communist. The banks straight up said no to warren. Even if he is beyond retarted he at least doesn't want to destroy the country via tanking the economy like all the others.

Plus Biden does have a slight advantage in the "blue wall" states like Michigan, Wisconsin, etc. Barry was popular there.

He's at or near the top because the other choices are more terrible. A percentage of people view him as acceptable the masses and they really don't have another option as of yet.

Killary won't run. The book tours is because they are hemorrhaging cash at the foundation which was their primary source of income and to try to keep Webb Hubbell's seed in the lime light for a future run at something. She probably wants to run but has been told she isn't allowed to.

Maybe a 2% chance she'd get the nomination in a brokered situation. The party knows it needs fresh blood and that she'd lose again and by a wider margin this time.
