I admire Scott for his humor and insight into human communication. I still do. Doesn’t mean I agree with any viewpoint he has, but I really like his books. I haven’t directly talked to him in about 25 years now (happened accidentally- was an interesting talk), so I have no clue what opinions are rolling in his head and how he formed them, but I can tell you he’s not what you would call a conservative in a traditional sense. He is, however, very opposed to statists (which makes his AOC comment strange, but whatever).
