He comes from the Jesuits who are the worst of the worst of the worst.... they're basically the darkest part of the church, from waaay back. They're the ones whose oath includes something akin to muslims use of taqiyya or jihad. It basically says they are allowed to do anything, and I mean anything, in the name of perpetuating power. It may be a single Pope. I know you may find this hard to believe, but not all Popes are bad. Think about how some people like POTUS because he "has all the right enemies." Do you remember how the media and all the who's who people smeared Pope Benedict constantly? That's because Pope Benedict was doing a good job. He was preaching truth of the faith and not watering it down or making excuses. He was totally anti-globalist and anti their one world religion nonsense. He was pretty much the antithesis of Francis. That's just the most recent two.
Oh, I get it. Ratzinger was a breath of fresh air which is why it was so disappointing to see him removed. I don’t believe for a second he stepped down willingly.
But I’m a stubborn Lutheran. That whole “Pope = Avatar of the Beast” meme runs deep in me.
"Exterminate" is too strong a word. The Church incorporated many aspects of their holidays in order to make conversion more possible. But yeah, we aren't meant to worship "the environment." Francis is a dud at best, and evil at worst.
