I told my fiance that "We are leaving California in 2020, period" and that my only constraints was a no State tax, State. I did push pretty hard for TX, and it worked.... kinda.

We are moving to Austin, albeit out near Lakeway which I think is much more conservative.

Any of you out there?

She is newly Red Pilled but VERY DEEP and will vote Red the rest of her life, me, well yeah, duh.

Ex-Californian here too. (Well, left many decades ago for other reasons, but will never go back) If it doesn't work out come to Tennessee. State sales taxes, but no income tax.

Other than no state tax, there’s going to be no cultural change from CA to Austin.

No State income tax. Property and school District taxes are high. Look for a red suburb to move to.

Just stay out of Austin ISD.
