Honestly I still think it's not an affair. They are just in cahoots with equal levels of TDS. All of the texts I've seen, none of them have anything to do with a relationship, it's just about how they are mentally ill and hate Trump.
If the wife found them, I can understand why 101726747589909363 texts to another girl would absolutely seem like an affair, especially if the wife is also liberal and would be blind to the TDS content of the messages. She'd allow herself to ignore the obvious that they are about them working to conspire against Trump, so she's just think it's an affair.
As far as the two text buddies, it plays in their interest that it's perceived as a love affair, and not two employees of the federal government conspiring to overthrow the president.
They were allowed to delete affair-related tweets. You aren't seeing everything.
