Well, I think the fact that there’s even an impeachment fiasco to laugh about is clear evidence that the system is flawed. Your assumption is that the system is perfect, whereas we know it isn’t. I don’t know anyone in prison, but I’m sure there are a few that are at least wrongly convicted and a system where death was dolled out without due diligence is a scary system to be a part of.

Capitol punishment needs to exist, it needs to be enforced, flawed or not. The very knowledge that it exists actively prevents crime.
