Guess what? The 7:1 RMB to USD rate is non- existence. Right now Chinese citizens are not allowed to get USD from within China and Hong Kong. Wealthy Chinese are offering 40% to 50% commission on the black market to exchange their RMB assets into USD and get out of China. It's crazy overt there.
Wealthy Chinese have been preparing for scenarios like this for years by parking their money in expensive real estate in the US, Canada etc. I also heard a report early in 2019 that big money was already moving out of Hong Kong, long before the protests.
I hope POTUS can break China without a war and without too much suffering for the Chinese people. Communism, Fascism, whatever you call the system there is horrible and it's what the UN plans for all or us.
I fully agree. I also believe, however, that it should work both ways. No American fat cats should be allowed to own mines in Africa, or oil fields in the Middle East. Globalism is a huge fuckup that impoverishes local communities, thereby creating more "refugees" and migrants for the west to deal with.
