Need more towns like Needles. Declared itself a 2A sanctuary city. Or get to work on making the 51st state of Jefferson. As for the gas prices and electricity problems there, you're screwed. California EPA won't let new pipelines be built to California, so the rest of the US is getting cheap gas and electricity from the shale oil fields, while California depends on the Persian Gulf for it's oil. Your best hope is to cheer for Alberta's secession from Canada and praying that Alaska decides to sell you it's oil, instead of an East Asian country that will pay more than California can afford.

Not trying to step on your happy, just being real with you. Here's the news from Kern County (Bakersfield) that you should hear https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du7jG1aDkdM

Im in sf, can, and I've seen random pedes here, in the heart of the devil.

Definitely don't like baby killing, mass immigration or any of that crap.

People also of course always diss on white people vs minorities here.. except whites are a minority, technically, in SF (and you can see it by just looking around).

most cali conservatives are closer to libertarians than republican conservatives. . . the initial decades of calexit was libertarian led.. and mostly a response to mass migration - both legal and illegal - as well as the takeover by govt of farms and ranches which would then be leased to foreign nationals which would be treated with kid gloves when it came to local, state and federal laws. Also unhelped by the habit of the state govt trying to sell off ca's water while penalizing pvt agriculture for usage.. claiming shortages. late 80s-onward, it mostly focused on asset forfeiture and federal corruption.

the overwhelming amount of CA's republicans are reaganites... yet the majoroity of CA's conservatives are, again, closer to libertarians or even say classical republicans. orange and san diego counties held the mostly self described trads.

most people only view CA by hollywood - but the most politically vocal of 'hollywood' have long tried to change the state to be like NYC, and the 90s was more the influence of MA (you can look at MA as the birthplace of 'modern' social justice (the five colleges) infecting the west coat by heading to olympia and then gradually moving further west and south.

CA conservatives historoically have been more the opposite ofo what you speak, with being more fiscally liberal and socially conservative.. fiscally liberal by way of state services. the format of it's state hospitals was practical but floundered under the weight of pc politics - libs calling it slavery to concentration camps as the hospitals in patient and out patient progorams focused on teaching basic skills and trying to move people into entry level employment rather than the revolving door of the system oor the push of the homeless 'industry' towards welfare. it was a mandatory part of care.. but met with resistance by national conservatives and by local libtards. . . whereas noow yoou hav epeople shitting on the streets and the plague.

the worst CA republicans did is lifted the restrictions on new developments.. the uncontrolled sprawling, which littered many red coounties with mcmansions, section eight houosing and guady stripmalls with a shelf life of two years per store.

but whatever..

so which state do yoou believe is the ideal example of conservativism?

Interesting analysis, but I disagree somewhat due to my personal experiences. I grew up around orange county "conservatives" who had plenty to bitch about when it came to fiscal policies, but happily marched to the tune of the west coast social status quo pied piper and actively participated in liberal social experiments.

Then I met northern CA rural conservatives, who hated all that shit in a much more logically consistent (I would realize later in my life) manner. They knew the well was poisoned, and anything coming from it should not be consumed outright.

I would say the states that I have experience with that most exemplify conservationism are eastern Oregon, central/eastern Washington and Idaho. Western Pennsylvania is also a good example.
