I remember how sickening it was that the apartment complex where they lived rushed to give Trayvon Martins family millions of dollars before their kids body was even cold.

They probably thought Zimmerman was going up for murder and did it as part of a settlement to avoid being dragged through court and a media circus. Since the neighborhood watch was sanctioned by the HOA they could have been found liable.

Getting Zimmerman arrested was the hinge-pin of Crump's strategy to get a big settlement from the HOA. The criminal trial was just icing on the cake.

However, they have continued to profit from the not-guilty verdict with fundraising for a foundation (that employs the family) and books. That's why Zimmerman is suing the publisher, too.
