For me, it began when the 300 unit apartment complex I was managing, became overrun with illegals. I saw their forms of income, with my own eyes. I saw them get away with all kinds of crime, from a stabbing, drunken car accidents, burglary, assault and battery, identity theft, receiving welfare while working under the table. That’s when I opened my eyes.

I didn’t go for Obama, but Bush 43 and McCain drove me to vote third party. The 2012 election I voted for an independent. Had it not been for Trump I never would have got back into the fight.

Same here! I couldn’t do mittens. Too plastic. Thank God, by 2016 we finally had a real person to vote for.

I did, because I was tired of Bush sacrificing our freedoms to protect us from terrorists and I thought a constitutional scholar would steer American politics back to its roots. It turned out his promises were nothing but shuck and jive.

No I've never voted for a Democrat but I have voted third party. I was proud for the country hoping that the election would put some of this racist crap behind us. That sure didn't work out. It appears, if the polling is correct, that Trump has done much more to unite the country than that divisive, community organizing SOB.

I hope we are closer to a time, when people will stop voting for skin, and start voting for policy. I saw a think tank, with old liberal white ladies. They were asked who their perfect democrat candidate would be. They all said, none of the current candidates. Then went on to say “someone young, fresh, energetic” They all agreed unanimously with that totally vague, generic description of a candidate. No mention of policy. Black people want a black skinned meat puppet, women want a vagina meat puppet. It’s so cringe.

I did, but it was in great part an anti-John McCain vote.

I voted for bummer in '08 but became woke and voted for Ron Paul in '12. Trump was a wild card for me until he started gloves off eviscerating the Clinton crime family during the debates... Then I was all in.

I lived in Huntington Beach, Ca during High School years. Just hung out at the beach, smoked pot. I was in a perpetual state of ignorance. I didn’t give it much thought, until moving to a lower income area of So. Cal. Supporting myself and working full time. Then, the demographics of the apartments I managed became more and more illegal Mexican. Before then, it was out of sight out of mind.

Edit: there was also the time state Marshall came to arrest a cartel guy, who was on the top 10 most wanted. He was known for dipping people in boiling oil. He was living there with his girlfriend. He was always the one to come in the office and give me the rent check.
