Faith is a tricky thing.

Don't let some asinine church leader shake yours.

Don't let some sinful neighbor in the pew next to you shake it either.

Don't let a heretic Pope Shake it.

Pray for them, and pray to have your faith strengthened.

otherwise you are the seed that sprouts on the rock...

I never ate at chickfila I don't generally go for fast food, but I think it's dangerous to let outside anything dictate how one lives their faith. Everything is rotten in the core on this planet.

Put on your full armor !

Everyone is blowing Chick-fil-a change in donations out of the water for no reason. First, they rotate their donation patterns every few years to start with. Second, they have decided to focus in on three issues specifically. Third, they are not eliminating any charities from consideration based on religion. They have not bent the knee, they are simply looking at different options for giving to spread the good around.

While I don't agree with their change in policy, I will still eat there the 3-5 times a year that I always have. In the end, its their choice where their money goes, and I prefer apolitical business transactions. Sell me on your product or service. That's what capitalism is all about.

Its not like they started donating to Planned Parenthood or became straight white men haters like Gillette. IMO, someone like Drudge is much worse, as he is sneakily trying to influence against Trump while maintaining a "conservative" front. I used to check that site 5-10x daily, instead of once every few months nowadays.

I can not get all the information on this site fast enough, this link that you provided would have helped me in an argument with a lawyer that I lost.

Chick-fil-A bends the knee to the SPLC of all organizations. How utterly disappointing.

Chick-fil-A is confusing at the moment. Yeah they changed donation patterns, and seem to have embraced satanic agendas with the change at CEO, was it?

And so I have not eaten there since discovering this a few weeks ago, call it 6 sandwiches missed. I won't eat there for the near future, not until I can figure this out better.

On the other hand, Chick-fil-A is still doing good things at local establishments. Next Monday at the Chick-fil-A in Pasadena Texas on Spencer BEAR is going to run an event on the property, seeking to make Christmas a little better for kids who need help. My Wife and I will try and be there at least to donate, but I won't eat there. I'm sure local Chick-fil-As are in some cases as confused as I am at the moment. I'm hoping that CEO they hired can be fired and a reset habben...?

Anyhow, the kids who benefit from the charity work which still gets done on Chick-fil-A properties thank you.

McDonald's does good things too - think Ronald McDonald Houses.

IF you like CFA's food, fine. Alright by me. Just don't frequent CFA for the purpose of supporting supporting a Christian-operated company (like Hobby Lobby). CFA may be Christian-owned, but they are no longer Christian-operated.

I think mickey-dees is a front for bad things, plus the food kinda achieves vacuum.

Now it seems Chick-fil-A ,may be a front also.

Just to clarify, I was using McD as an example that secular companies also sponsor (or even create) worthy charities.

My main point is that Christian-owned does not necessarily mean Christian-operated. I have no "beef" with CFA - just disappointed with their hypocrisy.

I have a beef with them, that is the best chicken on the planet and now I refuse to go there. It has actually led to a heated discussion in my Family in that I was resoundingly hammered by several loved ones when I declined food from there a couple weeks ago.

Because I LOVE that shiite you see, and they all know it, they told me it is silly to let politics come between me and that sandwich.

My response was, of course, this is not political it is Spiritual. If I were Jewish I s'pose I'd have to chastise the Lord for denying me my manna.

Was that blasphemy? Lord I apologize, please forgive me, Amen.

I'm suffering chicken sandwich withdrawals.

I feel your struggle. I have a good friend - going on 25 years - tell me if I brought up the CFA controversy again it would ruin our friendship. So I choose to vent here. Note, however, there are a few Pedes here that feel the same way as my friend, so I tend to get pushback here as well.

Now, for my usual disclaimer: If you feel that it sends the wrong signal to eat there, don't do it. Give it some time and reassess how you feel. If you change your mind I doubt anyone will judge you for it.

I don't have 'feels', it's a personal thing. My own sense of right and wrong won't let me go in there once I decide they betrayed our trust in them.

I haven't quite given up, they could decide to fire that leftist CEO or whoever and get back to Right, but they need to or I will divorce them.

And that is sad. I don't really vent tho, because I don't let things steam me. I'll walk away from matters which just don't matter, like sandwich joints.
