There shouldn't be a need to "balance" anything related to courts of law. The fact that judges are referred to as left or right indicates that our courts are not valid vehicles for the interpretation and application of laws.
I don't mind the appointment of judges that uphold the Constitution and written laws, but the idea judges are partisan at all (for either "side) IS the problem we are facing.
Without a doubt. I like that in the short term Trump gets to claim this as a win. Long term as well. There will be liberals 25 years from now still complaining about the wall of sanity in the court system that does not care about their feelings and will not look to international law, but to the constitution when making rulings.
