There shouldn't be a need to "balance" anything related to courts of law. The fact that judges are referred to as left or right indicates that our courts are not valid vehicles for the interpretation and application of laws.

I don't mind the appointment of judges that uphold the Constitution and written laws, but the idea judges are partisan at all (for either "side) IS the problem we are facing.

I can see that. A feedback loop where left and right judges provoke right and left judges being appointed.
