I remember being pro-choice about a decade ago. It's this weird philosophy of agency, wherein your own personal agency dictates the terms of life, where you selfishly kill for the sake of your own ability to go on bar crawls.

10,000 bar crawls later and I'm still not full of satisfaction, but I am full of regret for ignorantly paying to terminate a pregnancy.

Nothing helps to quiet the reminder that you paid to have your own child killed.

That said, I'll never do it again, and feel regret about it ever day, and it's convinced me to soon start a very large family.

That is a tough red pill to swallow. We will all fail, and sometimes only realize it much later. We are all fallible. It is what we do next that matters. There is no dignity to be found in self flagellation for the past. We can only control the next decision. Second by second, those decisions accumulate and make the world a better place.
