You fuck off. I've been in and around the military my entire adult life, just being in the military doesn't magically make anyone smarter...and young people tend to not be the best decision makers. Then you can add on top of that the main thing military people do off duty is go get shitfaced drunk. All that adds up to not a good idea for a bunch of them running around with guns.

I know it might bruise your ego to hear this, but many in the military are not mature, just putting on the uniform isn't magic. If you think military people are so mature, do some google searches on why Yokosuka had to become a dry base for a while. Or about marines raping women in Okinawa.
I know we conservatives like to put the military on a high pedastel, but they are still people with all the same failings.

I am a combat vet, fuck that POG. Only a POG would be concern trolling over military members carrying off duty on base. We were armed all the fucking time while on duty, what fucking difference would it make.

He was a member of the Saudi Arabian Air Force and in the U.S. for training. This is very common and has been going on routinely for years. Many other nations send their military to the U.S. for specialized training, such as fighter pilot training.
