Seems like retribution to me.

One of the great lies is that the Bible preaches to be meek. In fact, protecting yourself is a key notion and essential.

Let me clarify. When I say no call to violence, is no call to violence that I know of to force people to believe in God. Maybe ot has that, but I've never been very well versed in that.

FYI I'm an atheist. But I do respect the heritage that brought us here and the truths that lie within.

Well there was that one time God killed the first born children in Egypt. I guess you could call that retribution though, but that gets muddy when you consider that God hardened the heart of the pharaoh.

I honestly can’t recall if there’s much violence in the New Testament that is much like the old though. I don’t think it’s nearly as bad as Islam.
