The question isn't whether or not they match. That's not important. So what if they don't. Who cares.

I had sympathy for nunes before I found out he co-sponsored an amnesty bill for foreign invaders. Fuck him as well as schiff.
Nunes was fighting the good fight for Trump early on when his fellow repubs stood on the sidelines.
And now he wants to give amnesty to millions of illegals.

Yeah, I don't support that bill either. A lot of rural congressmen are in favor because of the farms in their districts. It's got 25 Republican co-sponsors including Fred Upton (who banned the light bulb), and 29 Democrats.
Trump himself has floated something like this in his speeches, and the audience hated it: https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/04/28/donald-trump-to-farmers-were-going-to-let-in-migrant-guest-workers/ and that was at a rally in co-sponsor Paul Mitchell's (R) district that voted 60%+ for Trump. Maybe Trump doesn't want to squeeze farmers during the trade war?
"Amnesty" is a bit of a stretch from what that bill actually does. They aren't being granted citizenship, nor are they immune to deportation.

I agree, Nunes has tough election prospects being a congressman from california of all places. They are like a cult in california when it comes to amnesty for illegals. Nunes is doing what politicians do, say what is necessary to get elected. I focus more on what he accomplishes though. If nunes needs to support an amnesty bill that is dead on arrival at the senate to get re-elected, I'm ok with that.
Coincidentally, this same "politics" concept is why impeachment is so bad for the democrats. Many of the democratic congressman up for re-election in 2020 are in districts that voted heavily for Trump in 2016. The democrats can now either vote to impeach and get cheers from the coastal libruls, or they can do what their constituents want and cause the democrats to look more foolish than they already are. I have a feeling they will probably fall in line with pelosi and get voted out.

Honestly Nunes was fighting this battle by himself for a long time. He deserves respect
