What is Trump's position on how we deal with job automation? For example, when robots replace truck drivers or factory workers, what happens to those workers? This has been the one thing that has been on my mind that I can't seem to understand. Thank you.

Your great grandfather asked the same question. Elevator operator used to be a career. And the harvest was done by hand. It’ll work out. But if you have (or are) kids at college age, go for stem or go for skilled trades. We’ll always need people who know how to do useful things.

My theory (no one asked, I know). Future=cost of living plummets. Future=less jobs. Future=different new jobs, less work. It all evens out.

Automation and technology has been replacing tasks and jobs for half-a-Century, and will continue. Workers will need to evolve, become more intelligent, in order to be valuable. I don’t see how it is the governments responsibility to answer that.

They try to have a hand in it by forcing a Dept of Education and unnecessary regulations on commercial industry

In the 1900's it used to take crews of hundreds of people to build a road. When they got replaced by machines, what happened to them?
