Europe is totally neutered. They don't even have the capability, let alone the will, to fight each other. None of them believe in their own state or sovereignty enough to go to war over it. Russia would probably do nothing as well. They may be able to take the Baltics and Ukraine on paper, but in reality they don't have the ability to hold them, or fight a protracted war with Europe, even if the US sits out. Their military really isn't that strong.

> In October, reports emerged that not a single German military submarine was operational — at a time when Russian submarine operations in the Baltic Sea were raising new concerns. Bundeswehr pilots are using choppers owned by a private automobile club to practice because so many of their own helicopters are in need of repair. And about half of all Leopard 2s — the tank which is most common in the Bundeswehr — were out of order as recently as November, which left the country with only 95 tanks of that type. By comparison, Russia is believed to have over 20,000 combat tanks, even though it is not known how many of them are operational.

>at a time when Russian submarine operations in the Baltic Sea were raising new concerns.

"Concerns"... Yeah, sure. Go ahead and take a look at how many subs Russia has that are operational. And subs in the Baltic are useless. They'd never make it out of the Baltic and while in there they're sitting ducks.

>By comparison, Russia is believed to have over 20,000 combat tanks, even though it is not known how many of them are operational.

A tiny percent of that 20,000. And many of those are old without recent upgrades. You're also not taking into account the size of the Russian landmass and the fact that Russia has other security issues besides Europe. They may have, say, 2,000 operational tanks, but how many of those can they deploy to Europe? Probably no more than half.

Also, comparing the Russian army to the German army is pointless. Germany is indeed a failed state with practically no military power. Poland, however, is not. Finland, however, is not. France, however, is not. These countries combined would be able to deploy enough to roll back a Russian attack.

Their ships were nothing but rust buckets back in 1985. I can't imagine what they look like today.

Sunken rust buckets. They literally have ships sinking in port. They lost a nuclear sub recently due to being shitheaded Russians who can't build or maintain shit properly. Another caught fire in port. And there's constantly shit happening there that doesn't get reported because they successfully cover it up from the media... But the spy satellites are always watching... ;)
