When I do a Google search for "American inventors", 68% of the results returned are African Americans.

I had a look at a few of the links.

Next to Alexander Graham Bell is a black inventor who's grand discovery was feeding acorns to pigs.

Google is leftist trash, but your example is flawed. Try duckduckgo or tineye. Words like African and American corrupt boolian searches of images because the words are disproportionately used next to each other in picture tags and descriptions. You would be hard pressed to find a picture of a purely African inventor of any color without already knowing his name or nationality.
