It may even prove a point, that this shit is serious. The left has been joking around for too long. They stopped the right from joking gradually over the last 40 years. Fight back, double down and don't apologise Trump! Fire him even if he has caveats or reasons. I only skimmed his response. Not that bad ordinarily. Sack him none the less

Thep1mp 9 points ago +11 / -2

No doubt. I’ll take it further. POTUS needs to declare martial law and shut down the media for 30 days. Purge the traitors and begin fresh. Call me a Nazi? I don’t give a shit. Purge the traitors regardless of race, religion or background.

We should start a new national tradition: if House votes to impeach and Senate acquits, then all House reps who voted to impeach must voluntarily resign.

2
Mikeyy5000 2 points ago +2 / -0

I read somewhere, That Trump wont even get to call any witnesses if it goes to trial, because they will need 52 votes in the senate, and Romney will make sure it doesn't happen.

I think that's why Lindsey just wants to get this thing voted and over with quickly.

Wray has no interest in holding the wrongdoers truly accountable and cleaning up the Bureau- his only interest is in protecting the image of the FBI. It wasn't just a handful of people involved with unjustly targeting Carter Page and the Trump campaign- it was dozens. We need to start seeing some justice and Wray's clearly a roadblock to that happening. He's gotta go.

Director Wray has to be removed from office. Many of these "errors" occurred under Wray's watch.
Fire Wray.

The sad thing is Trump offered Rudy the AG seat and Rudy didn't want it, so it went to Sessions. Rudy was Trump's first pick for AG, but Rudy wanted to be Secretary of State. Hell, Rudy even admits it was one of his biggest mistakes turning down the job.

How about the 'kiss-off'? Trump offers Wray the very prestigious role as a U.S Statesman! Yes, a very important position in a role that needs some urgent 'leadership and 'accountability'...Ambassador to the Ukraine. Perfect fit for Wray. He either accepts--or is fired.

Trump can announce this very important appointment---or lament the fact that Wray has chosen to leave public service rather than accept his patriotic offer. Wishing him well.

There are 102 FBI investigations by the IG, sometime last year there was 112, and Wray has had this attitude for all of them.

3
lifeisahologram 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well the problem is any person requires approval from the Senate, and we all know how swampy some senators can be. I think Trump knew about Wray, but determined he was the best the Senate would allow at the time.

with a new appointment, we already have 47 no's.

And while nearly all the Republicans will likely side with president Trump, there is still Murkowski, and Romney, who we can't rely on, and might as well be counted as against.

That leaves is with 51-49. Technically we could lose 1 more and still win. But there's more than 1 iffy senator who if they felt threatened enough might decide to make a mini coalition of 2-3 to stop it.

Lindsey Graham is one of those two face senators. As much as he hates political correctness and can emnrace a meme, he's still swampy.

Of course when Wray was confirmed we had a 51-49 majority accounting for swamp rats, we now have an extra 2 seat buffer, so hopefully Trump can get someone better.

10
Arwyn3x 10 points ago +10 / -0

President Trump before you fire Wray you need to promote some who YOU, not any of your advisors, think can do the job to second in command so when you toss Wray (oh, for the day) your very own flame thrower can clean out the roaches.

McConnell and the Senate will never allow you to appoint someone who will really do the job and be loyal to us rather then them.

5
CyclopticErotica 5 points ago +5 / -0

The problem with Trump being an outsider is he doesn't know any of these people. He has to engage with the swamp on some level, and I'm amazed that he has held it together as well as he has. I think he will be in a much better position in his second term, which is why you see the hysterics we are.

5
Arwyn3x 5 points ago +5 / -0

And tell who ever recommended, Sessions, Tillerson, McCabe, or Mattis (for starters) to sit this one out.

People, please. Trump has NO authority to appoint any real swamp cleaner. He can nominate and wait for Senate confirmation.

Our senate is corrupt (if you haven't noticed) and the nomination of Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe for DIA director teaches us everything we need to know--the swamp is NOT self-cleaning and very protective of itself.

Every president before Trump enjoyed the use of a Senate loophole which is the appointment of cabinet members and key personnel when the senate is not in session. Trump gets no such privilege. They've boxed him in.

Even our darlings Rand Paul, and lion Ted Cruz vote to keep Trump from nominating who he wants. It is unanimous EVERY damn vote!!!!

5
kogar 5 points ago +6 / -1

Don't fool yourselves. Trump knew what was coming and wanted to call out there was a higher truth. Look, an IG report is a flimsy POS that is, basically, inactionable from a legal standpoint. It makes recommendations, gives findings, and summarizes evidence that it has reviewed. It is a narrow, cursory investigation with ZERO rule of law behind it. If you thought it was any more than that, you've never been part of (or a "victim" of) an IG report (I have, more than once. Both on the giving and receiving end).

The law books on Treason haven't been thoroughly used in a long time, so it takes time to build a case against something as deep as this. One friend told me something once that gives me a little comfort: "Always remember, a swamp is vast, brackish, and seems endless, but they are shallow, and quickly wither under the sun when their water supply is cut off."

If we get to the end of 2021 and nothing has happened, only THEN will I agree everything is a sham.

5
CQVFEFE 5 points ago +5 / -0

>you've never been part of (or a "victim" of) an IG report (I have, more than once. Both on the giving and receiving end).

Since this is an unusual claim, may I ask, to the extent you can answer: in what context?

2
kogar 2 points ago +2 / -0

In the context of being part of an IG team or one of the people for which findings are delivered to. IG reports are very narrow in scope and actionability. My impression is that the IG report deliberately softened several points because it was intended to just be something "the FBI needs to address." We know that's wrong. We know there was, in no uncertain terms, a clear attempt to subvert an election, both during and after, by FBI agents/appointees who were operating above the law and their oath. The IG report won't make such a direct claim. It doesn't need to nor was it chartered to do so. So many people think that the IG report would be some kind of legally actionable document. Not even close.

There are no good men and women at the FBI. this farce proves it. It would be very easy for whitehats to save the day....

2
CQVFEFE 2 points ago +3 / -1

>There are no good men and women at the FBI.

It'd be better if this statement weren't obviously false on the face of it, amounting to a laughably absurd claim.

There are over THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND Americans working at FBI. And you're claiming to know what's in the hearts and minds of all of them?

This is about the satanists, traitors, and other arch criminals at the very top echelons of leadership. THEY are disgusting evil. Not the rank and file men and women of law enforcement. Sure, the Constitution framers did not provide for a national police force, meaning in that sense it's illegitimate. But we have it. That still doesn't make 35,000 Americans evil.

And it's not just "not very easy" for white hats to save the day. It's mind-crushingly difficult. Yet they're doing it, in the face of incalculable obstruction.

Just relax and watch Trump's plan play out. If you believe he doesn't have one, I genuinely pity you and wonder why you're here at the electronic Trump rally.

5
Covfefe_Crusader 5 points ago +6 / -1

1
CQVFEFE 1 point ago +1 / -0

>One third of the country is going to go batshit crazy if they arrest the traitors

If they do it tomorrow, yes.

That's "what's taking so long" and "why they haven't started arresting everyone yet". Trump is slowly, gradually, gently getting the public used to the idea of former presidents and heads of CIA, FBI, State dept., etc., being traitors and arch criminals who will need to experience justice. He was doing it last night during the rally, repeating the charge again and again. Using the dems' tactic of endless repetition against them. Once that's done to his satisfaction, then 1/3 of the populace WON'T react negatively to the arrests; they'll be clamoring for them and cheering when they occur.

One good thing is we can be confident in Trump's timing being absolutely perfect, as we have yet to see him act with anything other than perfect timing. It's uncanny.

What "great men and women" is the President talking about? Where are the whistle blowers from among them if they are not all complete pieces of shit?

Every single one of them is a stasi lapdog and a fucking traitor to the USA. They should be treated as enemies of the state in every possible sense. I wouldn't piss on an fbi employee if they were burning to death in front of me and my bladder was full. They are all inarguably the worst kind of filth imaginable or they would have broken ranks LONG ago.

The FBI needs someone from outside the bureau to come in and reform the agency wholesale.

Don’t like the new boss? Fine, you’re fired.

Elevating someone who has already simmered in the corruption for years doesn’t work. They have no interest in changing/fixing the FBI. Their highest loyalty is invariably to the fbi and their fellow agents, not to the people.

An outsider is needed.

1
northperuvianchile 1 point ago +1 / -0

Add Wray to the list of Tillerson, Priebus, Scaramuchi and Bolton deep state plants and traitors. The problem is you have so many weasels in Washington lined up ready to lead when one weasel gets outed, a long long long list... I don't think you can promote from the inside because it's almost certain that the entire upper eschelon of the FBI is rotten to the core
