I was so fucking mad I would have walked out if I wasn't there with my friends. Multiple scenes where they glorify the FUCKING JAPANESE as they are attempting to DESTROY THIS COUNTRY. Half of the movie was dedicated to making them look good. Oh and not to mention the movie basically blames Americans for Pearl Harbor because one CIA analyst warned 4 years before that the Japanese may strike...stupid Americans eh?
In one scene the Japanese even say Americans lack courage because they don't kamikaze their planes.
I don't give a fuck if they followed orders and were good soldiers, we should NOT be glorifying the Japanese and their role in WW2.
While I can actually tell the difference between Japanese and Chinese people, many cannot, it makes me wonder if the Chinese figured a movie about Pearl Harbor would make asians look bad in general and pushed the producers to insert scenes that show them as being honorable.
There are several well-documented intelligence and executive failures in the lead-up to pearl harbor that could have effectively tipped off the Americans to what was going to happen. But they were ignored.

That said, FDR did troll the Japs a bit trying to bait them into hitting us, that is a known and proven thing. One thing he did was to have Admiral Hart in Manilla acquire a vessel and commission it into the U.S.Navy, it was assigned one US Officer and a Philippine crew and set off to approach Jap bases along the SE asian coast. The hope was that it would be attacked, other ships had been attacked by the Japanese before so FDR was trying to bait them. Didn't work.

I had an Uncle who was on the USS Reuben James before Pearl Harbor, they were doing Atlantic Patrol convoys escorting merchant ships to Britain. He was sunk by a German sub a couple months before Pearl Harbor, FDR had us in a shooting war long before it was declared.

So Pearl Harbor is rather inexplicable, FDR knew we were gonna be hit and I guess he/they all just never figured it would be Pearl.
But he killed a lot of Americans and did scheme on war, absolutely.....then sold millions into slavery.
