When Barr is right, he's right. but he's not always right. His push for backdoors into encryption is a clear sign of that.

I expect that most people in the government don't have the technical prowess to understand the realities of encryption, but that doesn't excuse it when their expert witnesses testify that there can never be a "secure" backdoor into encryption.

Barr is now publicly asking Facebook and others to sacrifice our security to give the FBI and others the continued ability to bulk collect and analyze our communications, not just metadata, while deliberately creating a hole for bad actors to exploit to similarly gain that access.

He gave late spring early summer for Durham's report. It would be a HUGE strategic mistake not to start arresting at least low-key players in the next month. Mueller got Cohen and all his documents by storm relatively early on. He got people arrested way before his report was released. Barr should learn a thing of two, especially when there are so many guilty of conspiracy to overthrow Trump and not some bogus charges like they pinned on Roger Stone.
Barr's position does not allow him to say whatever he wants, He's the Attorney General. Whatever gets put in an official report, no matter how absurd, cannot be disputed except through an official investigation into the validity of that report.
That's because Bill Barr is actually intelligent and has integrity.
