Two reasons: that would be doing exactly what he's being wrongfully accused of, ie, using governments to spy on his political opponents. Also the same thing Dems have done to him. He's almost through this B.S. impeachment nonsense where the Senate is going to clear him of doing exactly that. So this is a very bad idea.

Second reason: Trump continues to succeed in arenas the country cares about, and he also knows they're quickly tiring of talk of spying on campaigns (look at his job approval rising, also look at public support for impeachment declining). He knows the road to victory in 2020 is winning the people, who will ultimately vote for him. To refocus the American people on MORE hearings, MORE investigations, etc is to exhaust them. By casting himself to independents and on-the-fence Dems as the victim and not the aggressor, he appeals more to them. News seems bleak sometimes, and everyone wants Trump to "go to war", but look at the approval and reelection numbers: Trump is coming out ahead here in the ways that matter.

And a third reason, I guess: deep-staters have more spies in those organizations than Trump does. If even one whistleblower caught wind of him trying to infiltrate anyone, forget it: that's 100% of media coverage until the next election.

Trump doing this is not the same as what the Democrats did. Where did you get this idea?
