Gonna try to stay up as late as I can. First results due in from Labour heartlands shortly...that will be interesting. Its a traditional labour area that voted massively for Brexit.
Basically Teresa May fucked up and lost her majority for complicated reasons but she alienated her core voter base - kind of like if Trump proposed a gun ban. Not having a outright majority makes it very hard to get anything through Parliament. The opposition parties ganged together and blocked anything she and later Boris tried to do.
With these results Boris will be able to force through anything he wants. The opposition does not have the numbers to vote him down.
It also looks likely that Jo Swinson, the leader of the Lib Dems and the only blatant Anti Brexit Leader, will lose her seat. A Party leader losing their seat is really rare and quite embarrassing.
It seems the people have delivered a resounding opinion on Brexit: Get it fucking done and get it done NOW.
