Goodbye Malibu hot tubs. Hello spare rooms of friends who still have a job.
In his “Yes, that would be me” post, worthy fellow pede uptemiddle1 posted a link to an article about actor Patton Oswalt on Breitbart. I encourage everyone to check out the article and and upvote the post. It is about the childish actor calling Trump and his supporters “stupid assholes” in response to his spot-on Greta tweet. That is not new for a Hollywood narcissist, but what is so rich about it is not just the picture of the actor clearly displaying his insufferable “I condemn thee because I am virtuous” face. It is the eviscerating comments from the readers that follow. (Warning: You will laugh to the point of dislodging your spleen and possibly throw up in your mouth a little.)
I used to be able to tolerate the occasional vacuous opinions of silly actors and still enjoy their movies, but it has gotten to the point that I can’t do it anymore. It has become a constant irritation I can no longer bear. Even movies I formerly enjoyed have become unwatchable because some loudmouth leftist lunatic actor is one of the stars. I can’t think of anything else but their infantile hateful tirades when I see them. I’m not kidding. It has become a visceral reaction. How do they not see the foolishness of alienating half of their audience? (A percentage of movie patrons that grows ever higher, by the way, as more and more people wake up to change their minds about supporting the President.)
I have no doubt that the Trump curse will bite this man in the butt. It is a real thing, and if anyone wonders where it comes from, one has only to look up. God said, “Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm,” which is a standing command by any consistent way of interpreting Hebrew scripture. Some might dispute the notion that Trump was chosen by God for this hour, and I can respect their opinion without doubting their intellect, honesty, or motives; but I have been convinced ever since his stunning election that this was the case, and I am even more convinced now after seeing so many fall from dashing themselves to pieces against the Presdent’s mighty legs without even creasing his trowsers.
If some seem to be escaping the curse, just wait. There is purpose in the delay, even if it is only to highlight their foolishness to the world. But time is mercy. Perhaps some will turn, but even if the price for them is high, it is not as high as the price they will pay for raising up their fists in defiance of God’s determined will. There are no safe spaces, and no one has to do a thing to make it happen. They will do it to themselves.
Patton who?
I forget.
