It only took me an hour - and I had to look up the numbers. Call Pedes! It can make a difference, and on days like these it's a duty...
On T_D Reddit it someone asked what I said. It was short and sweet. I said:
I am calling to comment about impeachment, I have watched all the hearings and the President has nothing wrong. This is bad for the country, and I would encourage the congressman/woman to vote against impeachment.
That's it. Maybe a bit longer if they seemed really interested. Some of them seemed actually appreciative (maybe they are looking for a reason to vote no?) Call if you can!
Like I said, it only took about an hour.
Activism works. We flipped Congress in 2010 on dailypaul and ronpaulforums. We were so organized because Ron Paul told his supporters to run or support local candidates. So we did and we worked out asses off to get there. (Then Obama used the IRS to attack and cripple the Tea Party)
This is exactly the kind of thing we did. We also organized locally.

Conor Lamb especially galls me. He ran as a "moderate" in a strong Trump district, even had a TV ad with him shooting and AR15 and speaking about his military service. Beware of any Dem, especially those claiming to be "moderate". They will only do what their party tells them to do.
I totally agree, but they are there for now. If we can scare some of them into voting against by having a volume of calls, so much the better.

I always try to speak to a live person, rather than leave a message. Sometimes that means calling their home district instead of their DC office. The staffers I talk to are almost always pleasant and sometimes even willing to have a real discussion about the issue.
Much more effective than another low-energy change.org petition

It's ok, I told them the state I was from. This is a national issue. There is no problem calling on an issue like this.
In fact, I was surprised. More than one of the aides I spoke to see genuinely glad I called. Maybe it was my imagination, but maybe they are looking for excuses to cut out, and getting calls against it would be a good one.

I respectfully disagree about calling these useful idiots. Never interrupt your opponent when they are destroying themselves. We would be saving these endangered Democrat representatives in Trump won districts. No more of this "Operation Chaos" type activism that will backfire. I want to see these traitors vote for impeachment; do not give them an excuse to vote against it. Let the Republican controlled Senate stop this madness.
