When you find ocean creature fossils on high mountain tops, deserts that used to be lush and green, signs of human construction on the ocean floor....you realize that the planet doesn't give a shit about humans. The landscape will continue to drastically change. Humans must adapt and keep on living. The idea that we can somehow stop the Earth from changing and that somehow we can influence continuing change underway for the past several billion years is laughable.
