Texas wouldn't fuck around with that shit. It has it's own resources to survive pretty easily. Texas would probably rename themselves " The REAL United States, not that pussy country above us."
If this was the reply from my potential oppressor: “I encourage everyone to be patient while we allow our elected officials to work through the legislative process.”, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell them they need not wait for orders because at no time will they be welcomed into our neighborhoods, let alone our houses.
Yes, but not when the state is trying to subvert my rights. Don’t play PC when the question is, ‘will you be oppressing me if the “officials” decide it?’
I have two already, one is a mobile unit and one is just a weather radio. There is a really good mobile one that came out later that does all the CB and some SW bands and I think that's about $400.
Mission as stated for Army National Guard: National Guard Soldiers serve both community and country. Our versatility enables us to respond to domestic emergencies, overseas combat missions, counterdrug efforts, reconstruction missions and more. The Guard always responds with speed, strength and efficiency, helping to defend American freedom and ideals. "Defend American Freedom" I guess we'll see if that's true or just a "Tool for Tyrants" If the Nat Guard backs out however there's the Virginia Defense Force, not sure what those guys do.
To those of you officer and enlisted, military or civilian, in case you're reading this:
Please, from a former fellow soldier; do not violate your oath to our constitution.
Remember that ultimately, acting on illegal unconstitutional orders comes down to the man or woman serving. If someone orders you to commit a war crime, you do not have to do it.
The military wants strong warriors, but it also wants people able to think under pressure for themselves. No one who's ever even held a firearm issued by the United States government wants any type of violence here. We can stop the illegal order before it's carried out by simply using our consience and gut instinct. I hope that time never comes, but if the choice presents itself, please err on the side of our constitution.
Like myself, your friends, family, neighbors all sleep comfortably at night thanks to those of you still in uniform. We love you. We are eternally grateful for your voluntary sacrifice.
If they get orders to take on enforcement of confiscation then they should appeal to Pres. Trump to nationalize the VA NG and supersede the governor's authority over them
IOW, do exactly what Pres. Eisenhower did to the governor of Arkansas
Use the VA NG to then defend the civil rights (constitutional rights) of the VA citizenry from domestic enemy tyrants
" think you would be duty bound to arrest the Governor if he called on you to enforce constitutional right infringement. You may have to do some looking to find him. He loves to play “dress up” with black shoe polish!!"
"It is a commonplace that the history of civilisation is largely the history of weapons. In particular, the connection between the discovery of gunpowder and the overthrow of feudalism by the bourgeoisie has been pointed out over and over again. And though I have no doubt exceptions can be brought forward, I think the following rule would be found generally true: that ages in which the dominant weapon is expensive or difficult to make will tend to be ages of despotism, whereas when the dominant weapon is cheap and simple, the common people have a chance. Thus, for example, tanks, battleships and bombing planes are inherently tyrannical weapons, while rifles, muskets, long-bows and hand-grenades are inherently democratic weapons. A complex weapon makes the strong stronger, while a simple weapon—so long as there is no answer to it—gives claws to the weak. The great age of democracy and of national self-determination was the age of the musket and the rifle. After the invention of the flintlock, and before the invention of the percussion cap, the musket was
a fairly efficient weapon, and at the same time so simple that it could be produced almost anywhere. Its combination of qualities made possible the success of the American and French revolutions, and made a popular insurrection a more serious business than it could be in our own day. After the musket came the breech-loading rifle. This was a comparatively complex thing, but it could still be produced in scores of countries, and it was cheap, easily smuggled and economical of ammunition. Even the most backward nation could always get hold of rifles from one source or another, so that Boers, Bulgars, Abyssinians, Moroccans—even Tibetans—could put up a fight for
their independence, sometimes with success. But thereafter every development in military technique has favoured the State as against the individual, and the industrialised country as against the backward one. There are fewer and fewer foci of power. Already, in 1939, there were only five states capable of waging war on the grand scale, and now there are only three—ultimately, perhaps, only two. This trend has been obvious for years, and was pointed out by a few observers even before 1914. The one thing that might reverse it is the discoveryof a weapon—or, to put it more broadly, of a method of fighting—not dependent on huge concentrations of industrial plant."
Hey, my pleasure. Just do me a favor and save it and share when the time is right! Anything older than ten years is an enemy of the progressive left so using their spokespeople of yesteryear against them is too easy!
Well, if comes down to it, there are a total of 7,500 national guard members in VA.
Al least half of those won't betray their country, so that brings us down to a measley 3,500 Benedict Arnolds, at most.
Meanwhile,.Virginia is the 5th most-armed state in the US with the last count I could find (pre-Christmas orders) at 307, 822 guns in the hands of its citizens.
Oh, and don't forget about backup from neighboring states. The Blue Mountain boys always love a good target practice. ;)
There are a further 2,118 State Police, as well as 340 independent law enforcement agencies across Virginia, with a total of 23,000 sworn police officers.
This comes out to 293 officers for every 100,000 residents. And 1/3 of the population owns guns, many of them multiple firearms. Most, actually, if you go by the stats.
So that would put us at about 300 military/paramilitary per 33,000 armed citizens across Virginia. The armories are spread out, about 400 of them.
Thing is, they'll pick the gun owners off one at a time. Being independent minded is great but prickly personalities are at a disadvantage facing an organized mass.

I'm laughing at the future blue state brigade talking about pussies - From Florida, the greatest state in the Union.
I'LL SIMPLIFY THIS FOR THE LEFTOIDS
WE NEED OUR GUNS
IN CASE THE GOVERNMENT COMES AFTER OUR GUNS
If this was the reply from my potential oppressor: “I encourage everyone to be patient while we allow our elected officials to work through the legislative process.”, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell them they need not wait for orders because at no time will they be welcomed into our neighborhoods, let alone our houses.
This is actually a pretty standard response for a military entity. 100% CYA from all angles
Yes, but not when the state is trying to subvert my rights. Don’t play PC when the question is, ‘will you be oppressing me if the “officials” decide it?’
I keep saying two things, readiness is good and every cell phone is a "wire".
You all need to put portable ham radios on backorder
I have two already, one is a mobile unit and one is just a weather radio. There is a really good mobile one that came out later that does all the CB and some SW bands and I think that's about $400.
I hope people are pointing out that the national guard is taking order from a “doctor” who wears blackface and supports the killing of live babies.

Love this response,
" think you would be duty bound to arrest the Governor if he called on you to enforce constitutional right infringement. You may have to do some looking to find him. He loves to play “dress up” with black shoe polish!!"
To be fair, he can't remember if he was blackface or the klansman.
Boogaloo when?
Do it. Just wait and see what you’ll have wrought upon yourself.

Wow I’ve never seen this. Great quote and powerful concept.
Thanks for sharing.

The numbers don't look good for the governor.

Sic semper tyrannis. Governments should fear the people.
