This is right. Fox wants the "responsible conservatives", the ones who believe in free trade, open borders, and all social ills being caused by pornography and violent video games.

They do not want Nationalists or Patriots. They have no use for freedom-loving people who want their nation strong and independent. People with sincere beliefs aren't ideal consumers: they actually prefer a strong middle class to an ocean of cheap Chinese goods. It's hard for Fox to sell advertising to these people. The country club elitists like Paul Ryan buy more SUVs.
