they've been charged with misdameanors....not hate crimes and attempted murder. (all of the kids were older and bigger than the boy that was attacked.) he was not wearing a maga hat at the time, but the mom said he bought one with his own $ a few weeks back, wore it one day and never again, bc it made him a target. what's been happening to him escalated until it reached this point. at least, that's the mother's pov. the school superintendent say it was unrelated and not political in nature. but it was 5 black kids against one white boy.
