The constitution says "the people". Are felons that have done their time a part of "the people"? I think so. I think the safest society is one where EVERYONE is armed. Just like you wouldn't leave your house without your keys/wallet/phone. Don't forget your compact carry!

I will say that alcohol and drugs kind of murkys up the water a bit, but damn I dislike the slippery slope.
