A majority of people are moderates. A ton of people don't follow the ongoing culture war or what each party is up to. The Democrats that won were moderates, which is why you are seeing some of them registering to the Republican party or Independent or voting against this. Locally the moderates vote blue, but voted red for Trump nationally. I think the best thing about Trump is I feel he is waking some of these people up to pay attention to the fuckery.

My theory...The Dems do not want it to pass the house because they are scared to death of a Senate trial where we can call witnesses and expose their corruption. They already have Lindsey ready to vote it down without calling witnesses, but he will be under pressure to call some. So, the Dems on the down-low are asking the 30+ representatives from Trump districts to vote NO. This keeps it away from the Senate and the Dems can just poo-poo these representatives as having no backbone. This continues to give them their talking points and removes the Senate trial risk.
