When all of this was going on I was a hardcore Reddit lurker. Pre-politics, hadn’t even thought about the stuff. I remember all of the huge posts demonizing this man. I remember all of the top comments and how coherent their arguments were. I used to parrot their arguments when discussing web development. About how this would destroy entrepreneurship on the web with the so called fast lanes. I literally sent emails to my representatives.
I hated this dude. I feel terrible. It’s surreal having been manipulated by one of these campaigns and then dissecting the experience years later. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

Anyone can be brainwashed, but it takes huge mental fortitude to break the conditioning. You should be proud, not ashamed. Most can't do it.
