The court demanded a plan for FBI to stop abusing FISA...? How about the judges in the FISA court? I mean....presumably...spying on a US citizen....would/should be a 99% denial rate unless extraordinary objective evidence is presented and incontrovertable....

or...better yet...get an actual constitutionally required warrant in line with the 4th amendment?

FFS The FISA court is an egregious constitutional violation when applied to US citizens.

I will take this serious if they refer the agents signing the FISA for criminal charges and jail time. Till then it is theater.

That's just the beginning. Then comes the stern talking to, including a fist-shake and a "Why I oughta...!" Then, the dreaded "time-out."

Can anyone explain to me why these judges haven’t written arrest warrants for these lawyers/agents? I’m not a lawyer, but seems like these are very serious offenses against the court. What SHOULD these corrupt actors be facing as far as criminal charges?

Weaseling, cover-your-ass tactics. Moving the narrative along for normal folks. The good thing about this is that those dickheads felt they had a need to cover their asses, about surviving the consequences. They think a shitstorm is coming.

As well you should be!

Oh dear a stunning public rebuke.

What happens to private citizens who misremember stuff they tell the FBI??

Hint: a stunning rebuke followed by enormous lawyer bills and jail time.

This is why a process in which only the prosecution gets to have a say is flawed. How can it not be abused? 99.97% of these FISA warrants are rubber stamped.

There should be a person appointed to represent the person to be surveilled. That attorney or advocate should be financially incentivized to prevent the FISA warrant. If they are successful they should get paid a bonus.
