French here.

In 1789, the Count of Mirabeau proposed to include in our Constitution the following article 10 : « Every citizen has the right to keep and bear arms, for common or personal defense against all unlawful attack that would imperil life, limb, or liberty of one or more citizens. » Sounds good, right?

Well, this article didn't make it into the french Constitution because « the right declared … was obvious by nature and one of the main guarantor of political and civil liberty that no other institution can replace ».

Fast forward to today, guns are rare, heavily regulated, and can only be lawfully held for sporting or hunting. Use for personal defense is illegal and the state can seize guns for any reason at any time. Legal gun owners are so isolated that even if we wanted to boog', we'd be against impossible odds. Of course criminals still have guns and the government is carefully avoiding the issue.

Resistance against oppression is still in our Constitution, but it's a theoretical right that we can no longer exercise.

So, well… cherish your 2A.

Luckily we had Thomas "The Fucking Original Gangster" Jefferson around when they were butchering out Constitution (the original constitution was entitled "the Articles of Confederation", and it was a better document).

He said "we're not signing shit unless we get a Bill of Rights". Hamilton and Adams, the fucking snakes that they were, insisted that such rights were unnecessary and obvious. Mason and Jefferson not-literally walked into their offices, dropped their trousers, and proceeded to defecate on Hamilton and Adams' desks with the Bill of Rights.

Fast forward 200-and-whatever-years later, we're FINALLY about to lose the rights. (Yes, finally. Every other country would've given up centuries ago).

Jefferson and Mason sure did see it coming.

I don't think Trump would betray them and give up on 2A.

It's not going to matter for very much longer I'm afraid. Globalists figured out that all they need to do is import third worlders who hate freedom and love handouts to get rid of the Constitution, and it's working.

80% of all legal immigrants, 800,000 people per year, vote Dem for life and want the Constitution gone. We've already taken in over 75 million legal immigrants, and another 1 million come per year.

Real Americans are either going to have to kick them out or accept living under communist rule forever. 2024 is the tipping point at which no American-first president can ever be elected again by sheer raw numbers of legal anti-Constitution immigrants.

You real Americans are the light of the free world. Never give up, never give in, never back down.

We 'mongrels' in the flyover states will never give in to the coastal elites that hate, the United States.

I wonder how the coastal "elite" would fare without the food, oil, steel, aluminum etc produced in "flyover states". It's easy for them to be socialists when they share the wealth produced by others.

If I ever make it to the US and am able to choose where I live, I think I'd love Wyoming.

When that happens, there will be war. It is happening already in Virginia.

I agree. I seriously doubt that true Americans are going to accept being ruled by communist third worlders for the rest of their lives and the lives of their children and grandchildren.

We need to repatriate all third worlders.

IMO it will not be a civil war per see, more of a Revolutionary War II, where the Deep State and the coastal elites are the 'Red Coats'.

When you talk to one one them, their eyes get wide and smiles creep in when they think of a class system for the USA, where men are not created equal anymore and there is no creator, other than the state, like in the U.S.S.R., but patterned after pre revolution France.

Pelosi and her Court is their dream, with Antifa and the FBI as their enforcers.

I came across a gun store in Nice 6-8 years ago.

I have to tell you, it was sad.

These days to see real guns you need to visit the mosque's armory.

You should become an American. We love our based French allies. Had it not been for Lafayette, our Revolution would have looked substantially different.

Thank you. I am working as hard as I can to deserve the privilege to become an American, believe me. If I don't succeed, I am prepared to fight here.

Thank you for the kind words, but you know it's not like I can just cross the border and stay.
