Is your family prepared for a lengthy period of martial law or civil war without power or water?

During such times, the difference between a helpless family and one that thrives can be a matter of $100 worth of supplies, a bit more if you don't already own a gun.

These are just some of the bare basics that will dramatically increase your family's ability to survive.

This. Having close ties with your neighbors will be a huge factor in your family’s survival. When the SHTF, you want to be already connected with 20-30 fit males from nearby families. Men nearby who you may not know super well, but you know them enough to instantly come together in crisis time.

When the SHTF is not the time to start knocking on doors looking for others to come together for defense.

Love your neighbors, God said.

Well I am going to get raped for sure. My neighbors are all socialist democrats and their wives hate me for the way I look and that I never got fat and gave up.

If things go down, I will have to bug out immediately.

Gotta disagree, part of the militia paradigm is being self sufficient and hoarding as we can, not just foods but also weapons.

So while I sit here on good water with abundant foods and supplies I also stockpile enough weapons to outfit a squad of light infantry. You are correct in that we must have community, so we must therefor plan on patrols to protect it and not just sit at the house behind a scope. I'm not going to have to travel, I am where I will fight. I'm too old to march 20 miles with a 90 pound pack and then engage in a battle....but come too close and it'll get exciting.

I'll do patrolling if needed, man defense up the road as we need to, check on my neighbors and protect my community, so too will the other Vets and most of the others near me. But you have to be stocked up on supplies to do any of that.

Prep as best you can, we expect the troubles to be short term but any of us could be without infrastructure for a good while. I'm not going to give examples but cities are fragile, you can screw up daily life for millions quite easily, really.

I remember many years ago the Soviets infiltrated a Spetznatz team, they rented cars and used them to line up across all lanes of the Bay Bridge in San Francisco and stopped them in rush hour traffic, then escaped in another vehicle. Messed up the city/cities for hours...harmlessly, a test or exercise, no real destructions done but damages yeah.

Anyhow, yes we should all prepare for the Storm. POTUS old us years ago to prepare because the Storm was coming, now it is here.

What you call laziness I call strategic planning, and where you fear having a coward's ass I fear nothing.

Adios.

I agree and crowd sourcing things like food and water with a trusted community is the only real answer. It helps production and defense of the resources.

False.

Many preppers have remote bug-out bunkers, away from their residential location.

There is nothing retarded about having enough supplies to feed and defend your family.

That said, you have my permission to remain completely unprepared to protect your family against the slightest crisis, including power outages, hurricanes and floods. Good luck with that and your begging for help.

You rotate it in.

And 25+ year shelf life food doesnt really go bad that quickly.

Buying food isn't a bad idea unless you are buying low quality food.

Your posts are pretty retarded. A good system will be mobile and ready for boogaloo. Prepping isn't just about bunkering in place. You are trying to justify your own lack of preparedness by mocking those that are prepared. Sad.
